Project summary:
Hollister Construction Services served as general contractor for the interior construction of City National Bank’s new corporate headquarters located in the historic Hahne & Company building in downtown Newark, NJ.
Vacant for more than 30 years, the former department store building was recently repurposed into a multi-use structure offering retail and commercial space. As the first commercial tenant occupying this historic building, CNB’s corporate headquarters sits in the second-story atrium and expands over 13,000sf. It features a reception lobby, various conference rooms, huddle rooms, kitchen and break room and open collaborative areas. It also includes an executive area with private offices and additional conference rooms.
Hollister worked closely with CNB and design partner, KSS Architect, addressing all project goals to ensure CNB’s vision for their new home was achieved. Our team guided CNB through the construction process, providing recommendations and suggestions that aided with the decision making process, resulting in a smooth project delivery.
Redeveloped to create a thriving, walkable city that provides access to quality jobs and education, the Hahne & Company building serves as an important gathering place toward the creation of a 24/7 community in the neighborhood. It provides CNB and other tenants with common shared amenities including an outdoor courtyard, lobby and public 2-story atrium. |
