Project summary:

Hollister was retained by Immunomedics, an oncology biotech company, to perform a full renovation of their new space located at 410 The American Road in Morris Plains, NJ. Immunomedics will occupy the largest footprint of the space with fifty percent of the first floor and two-thirds of the mezzanine level. The new 30,000sf space spreads over the first and mezzanine floors. It features a reception area with waiting lobby, multiple meeting rooms, open collaborative work areas, wellness rooms, conference rooms, dedicated phone rooms, training and huddle rooms and bathrooms. In addition, a pantry fully equipped with stainless steel appliances including sub-zero refrigerators, dishwashers, beverage coolers and ice & water dispenser can be found in each floor. A tech bar, known as “Genius Bar”, serves an hour a day as the IT help desk.

Designed by TPG Architecture, the space provides employees with a collaborative and cutting-edge office environment. The main areas on both floors are open ceiling workspaces, painted entirely white and full of bright lighting to invite collaboration. All conference and meeting rooms and phone rooms have acoustical ceilings. The pantries have an open ceiling concept filled with bright furniture and unique light fixtures while all conference, meeting, huddle and training rooms feature glass office fronts.

Adorned with many distinctive finishes, Immunomedics new home is truly special. A custom wood material, known as Shinnoki, was incorporated throughout the reception lobby. Through the efforts of our team who drafted a design that could be constructed and installed in the field, and the craftsmanship of Michal Lukach, the project’s Millworker who fabricated all the material, the lobby came to life. The reception desk, lobby walls and accents, and genius bar are made with this material. In addition, all wood slats on the ceiling and wood walls that follows down the lobby stairs are custom fabricated Shinnoki wood slats, designed to accommodate recessed light fixtures. A full glass panel in the mezzanine level serves as a showpiece to look down into the lobby.

To support and enable today’s increasingly fast-paced, innovative work styles, new infrastructure was installed to support the audio-visual system and digital collaboration.
